Amal Clooney

Amal Clooney (born Amal Ramzi alamuddin) is a Lebanese/British lawyer, human rights advocate and charity philanthropist. She graduated from Oxford University School of Law and New York University School of Law. The length of her career has earned her international acclaim by her contributions to international law as well as in the area in human rights. Her high-profile clients have included numerous nation states, including the state of Armenia fighting for recognition of the Armenian Genocide by the Turkish government. Amal Clooney engaged American actor George Clooney to marry him in the year 2014 and immediately became a household-name in popular culture. In the years prior to the wedding, she was well-known and admired in the legal world for her achievements in defending clients. She has tackled human and civil rights and representing multinational corporations in their court actions and negotiations over the regulations of government.
